From manufacturer to brand
Our story began in 2013. Over ten years, we grew from a small workshop run by my husband and me into a company with established production capabilities. From sourcing raw materials to making the finished products, we handle every stage ourselves. By 2026, our team had grown to more than 220 full-time employees.
After more than a decade, we want our brand to answer a more important question:
“In an age when screens enter childhood ever earlier, which toys are still worth discovering with our own hands?”
Aqyl Mura is our answer.
The beginnings of Aqyl Mura
The inspiration for Aqyl Mura came from a short period its founders spent living in the Altai region. There, we saw how peacefully, closely and naturally people can live alongside nature, and rediscovered what childhood truly needs. We still remember a little Kazakh boy we lived with for half a month. For him, joy was in the simplest things: the morning breeze, the breath of animals, the scent of the earth and the small sense of responsibility he felt while caring for his pony.
In that moment, we seemed to glimpse a childhood from another time: calm, authentic, free and deeply connected to the world.
That is why we chose the name “Aqyl Mura”, meaning “wisdom and heritage” in Kazakh, to express our respect for nature and our hopes for future generations.
More than a toy.
It is our wish to give children back a space where they can slow down, feel materials with their hands, listen to their own imagination and discover the world through touch rather than a screen.
We believe a good toy does not rush to offer ready-made answers. It leaves room for curiosity, independence and the quiet joy of discovery. It carries a memory of nature, respect for the work of human hands and the hope that childhood will remain lively, warm and real.
This is how wisdom takes root, and the future blossoms.
